Day 2 Zion Canyon Campground

Day 2 we left Las Vegas at about 1PM (hmmm...leaving las vegas), but I digress.

We left Vegas behind and it was good to get out of there. Heading north on 15 is pretty scenic, mostly desert with distant mountains.  All was cool until a construction project in the Virgin River Gorge caused about an hour delay.
Once we got past that though, the scenery was spectacular and the driving  was easy.

We're camping right at the west entrance to Zion National Park.  Beautiful campground in Springdale, UT called Zion Canyon Campground. Literally surrounded by stunning mountains.  We are at the base of Watchman Mt.

The four pictures below were taken from our campsite in Zion Canyon! Sat outside as the sun was setting sipping on a tanquerey martini. Life is good!
