Day 11. West Liberty, IA

We had a nice day driving through I-O-Way today! Did you know they grow corn here? Holy  smokes, I've never seen so many corn fields. It was a pretty overcast day, misty rain from time to time. We took a break halfway here and made tuna sandwiches. That was pretty much the highlight!  I know. Lame.

We called ahead to "Little Bear Campground" and the proprietor said sure I have a spot for you. But I have a Dr. Appointment and I'm leaving early . So take site 1. I'll put a reserved sign on the electric box. Drop your payment (cash or check) into the drop box. Cool.

So we're here and we forgot to thaw meat for dinner...and it's kinda damp out there for BBQ, so what else do you do but order a pizza (no DiCiccos in West Liberty, IA) and watch NFL! Of course!

Oh, and lest I forget, Lance is still with us!

  1. Lots of corn fields in IL too according to Don. Enjoyed seeing the pictures from the Lakota school. Very nice.

  2. How was that pizza in I-O-Way? I never knew mom contributed to the St. Joseph School.

    1. Hi Em. Joni here. Auntie Dee Dee & Uncle Jerry supported this school forever also. Uncle Jerry was part Cherokee Indian from Oklahoma & he wanted to help the children of the tribes.
