We said goodbye to mom and backed the beast out of her driveway. I am sure the neighbors were glad to see it go! Hahaha. I'm glad to have brought so much interest to an otherwise quiet little burb! Navigating the streets of Florham Park in the rig was a challenge in itself. I'm sure they are proud of their tree canopy covered roads, barely wide enough for cars to pass. But I can tell you for sure they aren't catering to the RV crowd. But we snaked out of there and hit the highway for Gettysburg. We landed late this afternoon and are camped literally in the middle of the civil war battlefields, at artillary hill campground.
Thankfully, Paul loaded me up with some killer sausage jerky, which came in really handy on the ride.
Somewhere about 20 miles out of Gettysburg, the sky opened up and heaven came pouring down. Good sign!
We’re going to meet our Gettysburg tour guide at 10:30 AM Tuesday. It will be EPIC.
