We left Provo and headed north, skirted around Salt Lake City, and hit I80 east.
We got to drive by a few of the ski resorts like Park City. I haven’t ski’d in years but the runs I could see from the road looked pretty scary! (Good scary)
I’m gonna tell you this: Wyoming is a big-ass state. It seemed like we were crossing WY forever. And the scenery really never changes. I’m just going to post one picture because if I posted 20 they would all look the same! 🤣
Haha, actually there was some pretty cool scenery along the way.
So we’re here at a nice little RV park called Rivers Edge, on the North Platte river.
I saw the couple next to us bring two German Shorthair Pointers out of their trailer. We talked, and one of their dogs competed at the Westminster Dog Show this year! And the couple they are traveling with have 5 English Setters with them. The English Setter is like my 2nd favorite breed after the Brittany.
Meanwhile our old pup is sac'd out!
We’re having Sort of a late dinner, gonna sleep in a little, maybe do some laundry here, then head out for Rapid City. I am looking forward to being in one place for a few days! We are going to try to stay at the Elks in Rapid City...they have 4 full hookups but it’s first come first served, so if nothing is available we’ll either dry camp there or look for some place else. Either way we are going to spend a few nights there so we can do some sightseeing in the black hills and badlands.

I wish I knew how to attach or upload to your blog because I could share a spectacular picture of another (off the highway) WY I saw! But there sure is a whole lot of nothing
ReplyDeleteAh yes, you were in western WY. A whole different thing, huh!
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed.
DeleteOr you could end up in the Wal-Mart parking lot!
ReplyDeleteHahaha Pammy! We got a spot at the Elks!
